Whether it's by speaking before boards and commissions on behalf of key infrastructure projects, organizing support for local ballot measures, interacting with the media or helping the public understand the importance of public works and private sector constructions, the Alliance is making California a better place to live and work.

Advocacy

The Alliance supports construction projects, advances the industry's point of view and works to defeat job-killing proposals through testimony before key boards and commissions, public information campaigns, media relations, and a host of other activities.

We work for the public interest by supporting public works programs and projects which are used by the vast majority of taxpayers and are beneficial to the economy.

We represent the industry's interests during the strategic planning process by monitoring planning organizations and participating in policy-making committees and economic development groups.

We organize support for construction projects and ballot measures that fund investment in our infrastructure.

We provide grants to other organizations whose activities and goals benefit our industry.

We generate public and industry participation at public hearings.

We coordinate letter and telephone campaigns to apprise elected officials and decision-makers of industry positions.

We lend our resources and expertise to other organizations that share Alliance objectives.

Information

We inform the public about key public works issues.

We collect and disseminate credible information about public works, heavy construction and infrastructure financing.

We keep our members informed of critical decisions coming before government agencies, boards and commissions.

We generate and influence media portrayal of the industry and related issues and keep our members informed of important coverage affecting their interests.

We track activities of organizations whose actions threaten jobs, projects and public works funding.
